  • Quick Tip: Installing Mud Flaps
  • From "Ask DIY"
    episode ADI-410
    advertisement

Installing mud flaps on your car is an easy do-it-yourself project. All you need are a mud-flap kit, a cordless drill, a screwdriver and some silicone sealant.

    1. Hold the flap in place to determine where to drill the holes. Make sure there are no brake or fuel lines in the way.

    2. Drill the holes and apply sealant to prevent rust. (Some kits include self-sealing screws.)

    3. Attach the mud flaps according to the manufacturer's instructions.
