Growing up, Kevin Tetz worked in his father's automotive tech shop, learning everything from engine mechanics to bodywork and restoration. After pursuing a music career in the 1980s, Kevin returned to automotive work and has since owned a restoration shop, received certification as a collision repair technician, managed collision repair shops and offered automotive instruction and seminars. He presently owns a paint and body restoration business and is a prominent automotive painter.

In 1999, Kevin started a website that offers video instruction and advice for paint and bodywork projects and general restoration work. He also writes for several publications, including Mustang & Fords Magazine and participates in numerous automotive shows offering how-to clinics and seminars to hobbyists and professionals alike. Kevin has also produced and hosted do-it-yourself instructional videos for the automotive restorer and enthusiast. He is working on a DVD entitled Extreme Detailing, which covers things like paint-chip, glass, carpet and vinyl/leather seat repair; headliner installation; basic car-wash technique; and dealing with acid-rain damage.

Kevin is a certified member of the International Center for Automotive Research (ICAR) and the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE). He is also a member of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), a major automotive parts and accessory trade organization.

Kevin shows off the best of the best on DIY Network's Classic Rides.
