Kelly Keener is a "multi-tasking artist." She was brought up by the same kind of mother, who raised three children while heading a flourishing upholstery and decorating business. From a young age Kelly's world included tack hammers, web stretchers and colorful fabrics. Now she thrives on being able to turn old pieces of furniture into something new, fabulous and functional. Recently, Kelly served as the Regional Visual Coordinator for Proffitt's department stores. She was responsible for more than 32 stores, with duties including grand openings, major floor moves and purchasing new fixtures for every store. Now Kelly's house and studio have become her canvas. She reupholsters chairs, couches, stools, pillows, lamp shades and even makes curtains. In addition, she paints with acrylics and sells her original artwork to local and national clients.
Kelly's work has been featured on HGTV's Country Style for decorating with color, as well as other HGTV and DIY Network shows such as Material Girls.
