Embellished Pillar Candle

Materials:

pillar candles
remnants of bamboo window shade
strands of raffia
various embellishments — beads, cowrie shells, small African maks, etc.
glue gun

1. Trim bamboo remnants to half the candle height. Apply to lower half of candle with hot glue. Tie with raffia, leaving long tails of raffia on both ends.

2. Tie on an assortment of embellishments using the raffia. If desired, further secure the arrangement with a touch of hot glue. Tie raffia in a bow when finished.
