Sewing Wall OrganizerMaterials: hard-cover suitcase tool belt holsters small screws broad plastic washers to fit screws
- Check the flea markets and thrift stores if you don't have an old suitcase with a hard cover. Try to find one with an inner divider to help keep supplies contained (figure A).
- Choose tool belt holsters that fit your scissors and other sewing tools. Holsters are available at discount or home improvement stores.
- Open the suitcase and position the holsters inside the lid.
- Use small screws and broad plastic washers to secure the holsters to the inside of the lid (figure B). Be careful not to drive the screw all the way through the wall of the suitcase.
- You can hang the suitcase so that it lays flat against the wall, or attach a piece of wood behind the hinges to prop it half open and hang it that way (figure C).
