    Tips:

    • Vinyl wall corner molding attached to a drawer's bottom edge will help wooden drawers in wood frames slide easier.

    • Attach a tissue dispenser to the inside of a cabinet door for convenient dispensing of reusable grocery bags.

    • Viewer tip -- I'm a ham operator and I soundproofed my ham shack by removing the paneling and putting 6-inch ceiling insulation in all four walls. This works really well for privacy.

    • To make an old, crooked wood window airtight at the bottom, lay a bead of caulk on the sill, cover it with plastic wrap, lower the window onto the caulk and lock the window. After the caulk has dried, raise the window and remove the plastic wrap for a custom-fit weatherproof seal.

    • Keeping storm windows closed in the summer will help your air conditioner keep your house cool just as well as it helps to retain heat during the colder months.
