Penn Jillette of Penn & Teller has more than one trick up his sleeve. Penn feels strongly about the importance of learning to do something that you may not have a natural talent for. Since he’s been doing comedy and magic for 30 years, he decided to learn to play music...specifically, jazz on the upright bass.
You know you’re hot when you have your own show in Vegas, but if you’re the talent before your show, you’re super talented! Jillette has been playing for four years and has made great progress. Though magic will always be his first love, Jillette believes learning the upright bass has made him a better person. Music has been challenging to learn but he has found that not only is he good at it, but it’s a great form of expression.
