The master bedroom furniture is from the Environment line, and was chosen to coordinate with the "lakeside Zen" motif selected by online voters.

Amanda Teeter, interior designer with Boyles Distinctive Furniture of Charlotte, N.C., specifically chose traditional furnishings for the Blog Cabin with neutral and soft earth tones throughout to reinforce the natural environment and peaceful, relaxing atmosphere of a lakefront vacation spot. The design of the main entrance and family room areas centers on the stone hearth wood-burning fireplace. Amanda chose furnishings that would accentuate the warm ambiance created by the neutral tones of the stone fireplace, hardwood floors and finished interior log walls. With the furniture layout, she created an open conversational area where one can view the fireplace and enjoy the outside view of the lake. A neutral sofa with green and brown accents creates a traditional but casual feel that blends well with the cabin atmosphere. The main focus in the upstairs loft area overlooking the downstairs family room is a modified taupe and grey sectional accented with coral upholstery and black occasional pieces. The Environment bedroom collection from Boyles, chosen for the master bedroom, accentuates the natural element of the home. Made from recycled Brazilian peroba wood, the bed and nightstands integrate well with the cabin motif. Brown and spa-blue accents in the room complement the "lakeside Zen" theme chosen by voters and carried into the master bath. The guest bedroom reflects a classic Asian motif. An iron bed is complemented with a satin silk grey and lime-green bedding ensemble and blends comfortably with the wall color and black and white wall-covering in the bathroom. Two upholstered ottomans under the window create a cozy sitting area and a beautiful Naja wool rug softens the space and gives subtle pattern to the room. Amanda created a fun lakeside cabin environment in the child's bedroom by using red, blue and green primary colors to coordinate with a playful nautical theme and a custom-built "boat" trundle bed. Furniture from the Jackson Carter Collection brings in colors from other rooms in the home to create a unified design throughout.
