The warmth of these wood cabinets balances the stainless-steel appliances' commercial look.

    Materials:

    tape measure
    pencil
    table saw
    clamps
    drill
    impact driver
    cabinet screws
    hole saw
    jigsaw
    two-foot level
    six-foot level
    shims

    Steps:

    1. Measure and mark the center of the window and the sink base cabinet. Line up the marks, place the second base cabinet next to the sink base, and measure the gap to the wall. This is the width of the filler board.

    2. Rip filler board to width on a table saw. Clamp the filler board to the cabinet. Pre-drill and screw the board to the cabinet.

    3. Clamp the base cabinets together, then pre-drill and attach them with cabinet screws.

    4. Measure for the location of the plumbing and electrical, and mark the back of the sink base. Use a drill with a hole saw attachment to make the cutout for the drain pipe and a jigsaw to cut the opening for the electrical outlet. Check for level and add shims as needed. Place shims between the back of the cabinet and the wall to keep the cabinets plumb. Pre-drill and attach the cabinet to the wall with cabinet screws.

    5. Measure the wall and set the pre-made toekicks equal distances from each other and the wall.
Check for level and add shims as needed. Attach the toekicks to the wall and set the cabinets on top of them.

    6. Clamp the cabinets and screw them together, then attach them to the wall.
