    Installing Polyvinyl Flooring

    1. After everything is off the garage floor, give it a clean sweep (figure A).

    2. Using a shop vac, get everything out of open cracks. You will want a clean, dry surface for proper bonding.

    3. Next, fix any cracks with an acrylic latex concrete caulk (figure B). Then, just smooth it out with a putty knife so it’s level with the floor (figure C).

    4. When patching cracks in concrete, use a product with elasticity such as a latex concrete caulk with silicone. The silicone adds flexibility so when the concrete expands and contracts with the temperature, it is less likely that the crack will reappear.

    5. A polyvinyl flooring than can just roll is a perfect cover for any garage floor (figure D).

    6. After taking the correct measurements, the floor can be trimmed to fit around worktables, cabinets etc. just by using scissors and a utility knife.

    7. To help lay the floor flat, use a push broom to force all the air out.
