    episode ADI-402

An unusual and attractive paint technique called "combing" can be used to create a soft, striping effect on your walls. To create this effect on high walls and achieve smooth, even strokes, use a long-handled window-cleaning squeegee.

Take a sharp pair of scissors and cut V-shaped notches in the rubber edge of the tool. Cut the notches close together and make sure they're even.

Roll your paint and glaze mixture onto the wall using an ordinary paint-roller, then use your newly fashioned "combing tool" to create the striping effect in the wet paint.

Start at the top of the wall and bring the tool down in one long, steady stroke from ceiling to floor. Wipe off any excess paint after each stroke.
