How to Make a Bouquet Garni

    1. The classic combination for a bouquet garni is three stalks of celery, one sprig of thyme and one bay leaf. You can use any combination you desire.

    2. Cut a 5" x 5" square or round of cheese cloth and a piece of string.

    3. Tie the herbs together in a little bundle with a piece of string.

    4. Add the bouquet garni to any stew, sauce or casserole you are preparing.

    5. Remove the bundle before serving.
