Materials:plastic wrap or foil tissue paper or paper towel leftover paper towel holders Storing Candles - Warm temperatures can deform candles and sap them of their fragrance, so it is important to store them in a cool, dry place.
- Votive, pillar and taper candles that are refrigerated before using will burn more slowly and evenly. Storage temperature should not exceed 80 degrees Fahrenheit or fall below 32 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Exposure to moisture may inhibit relighting, so it's a good idea to wrap them in foil or plastic before refrigeration to prevent wicks from absorbing moisture.
- To help prevent color fading, keep candles out of direct sunlight.
- Loose candles can get jostled around and damaged easily in a drawer. Let paper towel tubes come to the rescuethey are just the right size and shape for storing tapers. Wrap a pair of candles in a few layers of tissue paper, and slip the package into a cardboard tube. The tapers will be cushioned by the paper and cardboard, without taking up much room.
