    Materials:

    doormat
    template (made from stencils)
    manila folder
    utility knife
    spray paint
    straight pins

    Personalize a Doormat

    1. You can purchase stencils from your local art supply store. Make sure they are big enough so that the number is visible on the mat. If they are not, simply enlarge them with the use of a copy machine.

    2. Once you have the size you want, transfer the large number onto an open manila folder and cut out the number to create a template.

    3. Place the cut out folder on the mat and secure with tape or straight pins. You will want to place some newspaper on craft paper around the outside of the template.

    4. Once the template is secure, the next thing is to spray paint over your numbers.

    5. Choose a color that compliments your decor.
