    Materials:

    assorted ribbons
    fabric or craft glue
sharp pair of scissors or for decorative edge, pinking sheers
    embroidery floss and needle
assorted embellishments: buttons, sequins, stickers, foam shapes be creative!

    1. Cut the ribbon's ends into a swallow's tail by folding each end in half lengthwise, then cutting on a diagonal from the corners to the fold.

    2. Or use pinking sheers for a decorative edge.

    3. To prevent the edges from fraying, place the ribbon flat on a work surface and dab the ends with fabric glue.

    4. Embellish with decorative objects, such as sequins, buttons or beads that you can glue on or sew.

    5. Finish off top of bookmark with a quick stitch of embroidery floss so you can easily find the mark.
