    Materials
200 g (7 oz) Chunky yarn in White CC
    100 g (3.5 oz) Chunky yarn in Black MC1
    100 g (3.5 oz) Chunky yarn in Red MC2
Knitting needles: US size 9 (5.5 mm)

    Gauge: 18 sts x 30 rows = 4" x 4" square in stockinette/garter mix (2 rows stockinette and 2 rows garter in 4 rows)

Size: One size fits all (scarf will be approximately 4-1/2" wide and 84" long).

Note: This pattern can also be worked with worsted, Aran, sport, DK or the yarn weight of your choice. Be sure to use the appropriately sized needle. For illusion knitting, choose a needle one size smaller than you would otherwise choose.

Knitty Gritty Tip: Finished a sweater and found the sleeves were too short or the waistline too high? No problem! This is a perfect project for a decorative edge! By simply picking up stitches around the cuff or waistband, you can lengthen that garment to the perfect fit while adding that little bit of extra style.
