    Shown: Needful Yarn Ceramic

Move over, silk: there's a cool new fiber in town!

Yarns that contain 5 percent ceramic and 95 percent viscose fibers (not to be confused with industrial ceramic fibers) are now appearing on the market.

The same heat-resistant properties that make ceramics ideal for industrial use are also a boon to knitters: these yarns are said to lower the body temperature 5 degrees Fahrenheit, which makes them perfect for summer garments.
