    Steps:

    Invisible Zipper

Expert tip: If possible, buy a zipper that has been in a hanging display -- a zipper that has been folded to fit into a package may develop a weakness at the point of the fold. If you must buy a packaged zipper, test it several times to be sure it works before you sew it in.

Thread-mark the center back stitching lines along the zipper opening. The center back seam will be stitched after the zipper is applied. Iron the zipper tape along the coils, being careful that the iron is warm enough to press the coils without melting them.

Place the zipper open and face down along the left seam (figure A). Machine -baste along the middle of the zipper tape using a regular zipper foot (figure B).

Once the zipper has been basted in place, use an invisible-zipper foot on the machine and stitch again right along the coils (figure C).

Note: You won't be able to stitch all the way to the base of the zipper, but go as far as you can at this point.

Pin the center back seam along the stitching line. Using a regular zipper foot , begin stitching the seam at the base of the zipper. Stitch the seam.
