Adding Piping
- On outside, pin piping trim (figure A) to lower edge of yoke front, placing stitching just inside seam line.
- Pin front to lower edges of yoke front and stitch. Press seam toward yoke.
- Stitch three rows of gathering stitches in front skirt and gather.
- With right sides together, fold tie end along fold line. Stitch, leaving one end open. Trim. Turn right side out. Press. Baste end. Pin tie ends to front at sides and stitch on.
- Pin back interfacing (figure B) to wrong side of bodice back, stitching just inside seam line, tapering end into seam allowance 1/4" beyond fold line. Baste.
- Sew three gather stitch rows at upper edge of back. Reinforce left side of back along stitching line at square marks in middle. Make U slash.
