The finished project: a dream come true for any little girl!
|
Little girl collar and sleeves - Pin piping to unnotched edge of two collar pieces. On both collar pieces, stitch remaining collar sections to collar sections with piping, leaving notched edge open. Trim, turn and press. Baste raw edges together.
- Stay-stitch neck edge of collar and sew on to keep layers from shifting.
- Gather upper and lower edges of sleeve. Stitch sleeve seam. On outside, hem.
- With right sides together, pin sleeve into armhole. Adjust gathers. Stitch once, then again.
- Trim close to stitching. Press seam allowances flat. Turn seam toward dress.
- Hem dress.
The finished product is a little girl's dream dress that she can wear again and again.
