You, too, can make unique greeting cards by following Cutts's easy instructions.

    Materials: (figure A)

    Paper or cardstock
    Pigment-based embossing pads
Rubber stamps (all sizes and shapes of your choice)
    Pigment ink
    Metal-edge ruler
Heat gun, hot plate or iron (your choice)
Colored markers (guest used Marvy Markers)
    Glue stick or double-stick tape
    Zig two-way glue pen
    Scissors

    1. Use a special long rubber stamp to create a plaid stripe (figure B) on a plain white paper or cardstock. Turn the paper/card around and stamp again to create the plaid design.

    2. Dab the design with some polka-dots, using the ink.

    3. Use a metal-edge ruler to outline the card with a colored marker to give it a finished look.

    4. Ink another rubber stamp with white pigment ink and stamp on translucent paper (figure C). Emboss with white embossing powder. Leave enough blank paper to make back of card.

    5. Use the heat gun to heat-set the design. Note: An iron or hot plate can be used for this step as well. The design/logo will pop up on the paper when it's done.

    6. Turn stamped paper wrong side up. Place a piece of colored paper under translucent paper so embossed lines are visible. Color all areas of design with colored markers. Blot on scratch paper and attach the embossed design to the card.

    7. Fold translucent paper close to the top of the embossed image. Turn over, place on table and crease again. Cut around image, leaving a little paper to prevent cracking of embossed design. Don't cut folded edge.

    8. Glue translucent paper to a coordinating piece of colored paper using a Zig two-way glue pen. Do not apply glue to colored areas of stamp, as color will bleed. Cut colored paper around entire shape leaving a 1/4" border. Add glitter to front of card.
