    Materials:

    Plain paper paint bucket
    Spray paint
    Hole punch or scalloped shears
    Nail/cuticle scissors
    Acrylic paint
    Sponge paintbrush
5 to 6 sheets of flower pictures to cut out
    Decoupage medium
    Liquid laminate or glossy shellac
Rosemary or ivy topiary in a plastic pot
    Cellophane
    Raffia or wire-edged ribbon
    1/2 yard yellow ribbon

    1. Paint the bucket any color you prefer.

    2. Make color copies of flowers from a book or magazine (figure A).

    3. Cut out the flowers with nail scissors, which allow you to cut close for greater detail.

    4. Decoupage the flowers to the bucket (figure B) and allow to dry.

    5. Apply several coats of laminate for a permanent, glossy finish.

    6. Cut along the top rim of the bucket with a hole punch, scalloped shears or puncher to create a decorative edging.

    7. Run the yellow ribbon through the holes you've punched and tie a bow in the front (figure C).

    8. Create a rosemary topiary.

    9. Wrap with cellophane and tie with raffia or wired ribbon.

    Tip:

    • The finished bucket could also hold letters or anything else that pleases you.
