- When you get the invitation, keep the envelope that has the return address on it. Go ahead and grab a thank you note and put it with the invitation.
- When you are out at your gift shops, go ahead and look at thank you cards and think of some themes. Get creative and keep your eyes open for cards when you shop.
- Another great thank you idea is to make a morning after thank you basket (figure A). Line a basket that has a handle with bandanas and add some fresh baked goods, fresh fruits, and gourmet coffee in a thermos and add the thank you note. On the note you could let them know how much you enjoyed the party and that breakfast is on you. Place in on their door handle or front porch, ring the bell, and when they come out they have a great thank you gift.
- The secret to enjoying yourself at someone's house is to always remember that giving a party takes a lot of effort. If you arrive on time, RSVP on time and follow up with great thank you notes you will always be invited back.
