Kid craft expert Cristy Feke demonstrates how to make a fun, unique tree using packing paper (figure A). Materials: Packing paper Glue Construction paper Corkboard or foam-core board Personal photographs and original artwork - Start out by twisting the packing paper from the ends to the center (figure B).
- Glue the twisted paper to the center of the foam board to create the trunk of the tree.
- Attach additional twisted pieces of the packing paper along the trunk to form the limbs (figure C).
- Paint leaves directly onto background or glue construction-paper leaves to the tree.
- As a variation on this project, use family photos to create a unique family tree, or add colorful artwork.
