    Tips:

    • Layer up to four sheets of sandpaper in your orbital sander. When one wears out, just rip it off and keep sanding.

    • When finished sanding, an old throw rug will keep your work piece from sliding and protect it from bench top scuffs.

    • You can clean your belt sander's belt by clamping the sander firmly upside down in a vice and pressing a barbecue brush against the belt while it's running. Safety goggles are a must!

    • A coat of clear nail polish will keep a nut from working loose until you want it to.

    • Be patient! Second to using the wrong adhesive, the most common cause of failed glue joints occurs when the joints are disturbed before the adhesive has a chance to cure.

    • To keep super glue from clogging and drying up, stick a sewing pin in the hole and store the tube in the fridge.
