RC Giant Scale: Dirt-Track Tour From "Radio Control Hobbies" episode RCH-301

In this segment of DIY's Radio Control Hobbies, host Chris Chianelli takes a trip to "My Race Place"®, an RC dirt track just outside Nashville, Tennesee where he visits with Lyle Monroe who founded and built the track (figure A).

Lyle began with an open, grassy field and built a 4-lane track with some small moguls. Later he added features such as an automated starting gate that holds the vehicles suspended, then lowers them all simultaneously at start-time for simultaneous start (figure B).

The track itself is divided into sections using barriers made from 4-inch flexible drainage tube (figures C and D).

The tubing is secured to the ground using 12-inch spikes and washers (figure F).
