Tip: Once you've finished building your plane, you may want to remove the wing for ease in transporting. Since the wing attaches and detaches easily using rubber bands, you may want to remove it to avoid damage and simplify loading and unlo

With the fin, stabilizer, wing dowels and control rods installed, the next phase of the project involves installing the propeller assembly and connecting the wing to the fuselage.

    Install the Propeller Assembly

Install the parts of the prop assembly by placing them over the drive shaft in the following order (figure A):

    • Spinner backplate
    • Propeller
    • Prop washer
    • Prop nut.

When installing the prop nut, make certain that the flat side of the nut is facing toward the engine. Tighten the nut down firmly.

Once the propeller is tightened down securely, attach the spinner to the spinner backplate using the provided self-tapping screws (figure B).

    Install the Wing Assembly

    • Plug the aileron servo wire -- located on the bottom of the wing -- into the aileron extension (figure C) leading from the radio receiver that's mounted inside the fuselage.

    • With the aileron servo wire connected, lay the wing in position and attach it to the fuselage. The wing attaches to the fuselage using rubber bands that stretch between the capped wooden dowels installed earlier.

    • Using one of the supplied rubber bands, start at the front dowel, stretching a band across the wing and connecting it to the rear dowel directly behind it (figure D).

    • Connect two rubber bands straight in this fashion. Then connect two diagonally in a crisscross pattern, then two more straight. Alternate in this way until all of the rubber bands have been used (figure E).

With the wing installed, the assembly is essentially complete. Once fueled up, the plane will be ready to fly.
