WWI flying ace? Snoopy? No, this is Jack, the mascot of the Sarasota RC club. Jack's specialty is (of course) dog-fighting.
    RC Parks: Sarasota, Florida

A new runway at the RC park in Sarasota, Florida sits atop the former site of the Sarasota County landfill, and overlooks the site of the old club. According to club secretary Mike Winters, the Sarasota Radio-Control Squadron created a detailed plan and submitted a proposal to Sarasota County commissioners. The commissioners approved the meticulously written proposal and wrote it into the county plan.

The result is an RC park with ample asphalt runway graded to the clubs specifications, a grass runway, covered viewing areas with electric power and an air-conditioned indoor facility.

With the new RC park, the Sarasota club has doubled its membership in just a few years.
