Glitter is the perfect way to accentuate this sticker of a cool chick in leopard and shades.

Precise placement of glue is essential. Then, just sprinkle glitter over the glue and tap away the excess.

Using stickers is often one of the easiest -- and most fun -- methods for embellishing your scrapbook pages. In intermediate and advanced page design, however, stickers shouldn't be randomly placed over the page surface. Stickers are Stephanie Rahmatulla's business, and recently, while on location at a Los Angeles crop, she took time to share her ideas for sticker embellishment and placement.

    Preventing Sticker Float

To make stickers part of a cohesive layout, try this technique for "grounding" them.

    1. After arranging the page layout and determining sticker placement, place sticker on a piece of coordinating cardstock.

    2. Trim the cardstock into a square or rectangle, then continue layering the cardstock -- using alternating colors -- in much the same way you would double- or triple-mat a photograph.

    3. Once you have "framed" your stickers, adhere frames to your layout for polished look.

    Creating Glitzy, Glamourous Stickers

    1. Choose an area on your sticker where you'd like to add glitter. Fill the desired area with a thin layer of glue.

    2. Sprinkle a shade of matching glitter over the area.

    3. Lightly tap away the excess and allow to dry thoroughly.

    Rhinestone Razzmatazz

Perk up boring, blah stickers with a dash of dazzle!

    1. Place a small amount of glue to sticker.

    2. Use tweezers or finger to carefully position the rhinestone on the glue, then allow to dry.
