Sandy Laipply, of Fiskars, introduces some of the most progressive tools available to croppers today!

    • Micro-tipped Scissors (figure A) assist in cutting smaller objects with difficult corners, tiny crevices or other difficult details.

    • Personal Trimmer can help eliminate mistakes and unsightly elements from photos, as well as trimming paper to any desired size. The extended arm (figure B) facilitates straight cuts on larger paper sizes.

    • Decorative Scissors have blades that can create a variety of ornamental cuts (figure C) for use as graphic elements, frames or borders.

    • Punches (figure D) are used to create corner designs. When used in tandem with corner etchers, intricate designs can be achieved. Paper can be woven through the punched openings to create an additional effect.

    • Border Punches create a continuous border design (figure E).

    • Shape Cutter (figure F) features a sharp blade on the underside and should always be used with a mat (to protect surfaces) and a template (to create various shapes). Best results are achieved when a gridded mat is used.
