This vellum accent was easily adhered after being run through a Xyron sticker machine. Coating the entire surface with adhesive ensures smooth application.

To adhere this vellum pocket, a disappearing glue pen was used. While it first appears blue, it becomes clear within a few seconds.

The ethereal appearance of vellum makes it a great choice for romantic scrapbook pages. However, many scrapbookers are apprehensive about working with the material. Watch this brief video to see designer Pamela Lange's secrets for success!

Designer Pamela Lange offers a few techniques for adding romantic touches to scrapbook pages using vellum.

    • Apply photo to a vellum square, cut slightly larger than the photo. Use acid-free glue to adhere the photo and vellum to matching scrapbook page. Apply glue to vellum directly behind the photo to "hide" it.

    • Alternately, adhesive can be added to the vellum sheet by running it through a sticker machine, like those manufactured by Xyron. First, DIY Scrapbooking host Sandi Genovese assists Lange by running the vellum through the machine. Next, the protective sheet is peeled away from the top. Lange cuts along the embossed pattern on the vellum and removes backing. Then, the vellum is applied to the page.

    • Vellum can also be used to create a pocket page. A small piece of vellum is cut to create a triangular shape, then a glue marker is used to add adhesive to the bottom and side edge. The vellum is added to the page and allowed to dry.
