Some items to include in a beginner's travel kit include:

• Paper trimmer
  
• Page protectors
  
• Adhesive
  
• A couple of pens
  
• Disposable camera(s)
  
• A variety of cardstock cut to mat size
  
• Lettering stickers, decorative photo corners, borders
  
• Die-cuts
  
• A magazine or book for inspiration
  
• Lettering templates
  

Tip: To make it easier for the recipient to get started, consider completing the cover and a page or two for them as inspiration and encouragement.
