Guest Stephanie Bernard uses small beads and crystals to create a beach page with sparkle. Kirstin at Discovery Cove Materials:
Assorted beads (caviar, bugle, seed)
Acrylic crystals
Caviar beaded appliques (cloud, sandcastle and dolphin)
Liquid glue
Acrylic paints
Cardstock
Glue dots
- Tint glue blue and sand color using acrylic paint. Using a paintbrush; paint mixture on cardstock, as shown. Sprinkle blue beads onto blue paint/glue mixture (figure A), and sand colored beads onto sand colored paint/glue mixture. Tip: Place page in tray while working to catch the excess beads.
- Adhere cloud and sandcastle caviar beaded appliques to page with glue dots. Trim dolphin and adhere dolphins to layout (figure B).
- Using sand colored paint/glue mixture, paint the corner of the layout. Adhere gold colored acrylic crystals to form sun (figure C).
- Computer journal on cardstock, mat journaling on cardstock, and adhere to layout.
- Mat photo onto cardstock. Adhere to layout.
