    Materials:

    assorted fibers
    background page
    1/8" Hole punch
    adhesive
    artist's tape

    • Begin by creating photo corners. First, mat photo allowing 1/4" border around. Punch holes diagonally across the corners of the photo mat. For the bottom corners, thread fibers through bottom edge holes coming up from the back of the mat and across the corner and down through the opposite hole. Secure fiber on back of mat with artist's tape. For the top corners, thread fiber through each hole from the back, tie a bow on the front of the photo (figure A) and cut off excess fiber.

    • To create the border edge: Combine several coordinating colored fibers together in a length to fit your page. Align fibers along the edge of the page and wrap each end onto the back of page and secure with artist's tape. Or cut a small slit in the paper and insert fibers into slit to secure onto page (figure B).

    • Connecting journal blocks:Create journaling blocks and punch a hole at the top and bottom of the block. Using several strands of fibers, thread fibers through blocks connecting them together along the fiber stands (figure C). Adhere blocks to page.
