Clark even selected the same soft shades and a complementary design for the album cover.

A romantic proposal or engagement certainly deserves to be captured on a scrapbook page. Here, designer Joanne Clark uses stickers with a romantic look to accent engagement photos and journaling.

    Materials:

    wedding-themed stickers
    wedding-themed sticker borders
    12" x 12" white wedding page
    soft green mat
    photos
    photo-safe adhesive
    scissors
    pencil
    ruler
    journaling pen

    1. First, border the 12" x 12" paper with wedding-themed sticker borders. Place borders approximately 1/4" from the edges. Tip: For easier placement, lightly measure and pencil a guideline for the stickers.

    2. Next, add stickers (in this example, heart photo corners were used) near each corner of page, just inside the borders.

    3. At bottom of page, begin adding a wedding border using individual stickers (figure A) or a wider border (in this example, Clark uses a garden-themed border and swans in the corners). Slightly overlap the images if desired.

    4. Enlarge or reduce photos on color copier (changing to black and white if desired), then crop copies. File the originals.

    5. Then, cut a soft green mat slightly larger than the first photo to be used. Trim mat in a floral or softly patterned sticker border in a contrasting shade. Adhere photo to mat (figure B).

    6. Adhere the matted photo to the scrapbook page.

    7. Next, cut a green mat slightly larger than the second photo. Add a straight, solid colored border in a color slightly darker than mat.

    8. Adhere mat to scrapbook page. Trim around mat edges using a border sticker (try to repeat color or pattern used to trim first photo). Use a softly patterned sticker border to trim around the second matted photo, applying directly to scrapbook page (figure C).

    9. Cut around photo to create silhouetted shape, then adhere photo to mat (figure D)

    10. Add additional sticker embellishments as desired.

    11. Finally, create a journaling card on the computer (or by hand) and print on white paper. Trim journaling square to fit on small green mat. Adhere to mat, then edge using sticker border, leaving 1/8" green edge showing.

    12. Adhere matted and embellished journaling card to the scrapbook page (figure E).
