When creating a gift album or pages that commemorate special life events, space is often at a premium. Here, Harold Goodman shares his creative, space-saving design ideas for use in a 25th Anniversary Album. Materials: 12" x 12" top-loading sheet protectors light blue paper champagne or pale yellow paper white paper scallop-edge craft scissors hole punch banner template photo Glue Stick black 3-D letters silver 3-D letters silver self-adhesive photo corners caption stickers (if desired) silver gel pen gold gel pen color photographs - Cut champagne glass shapes from light blue paper. Use yellow paper for the champagne "inside" the glass. Trim the top of the yellow paper with the scalloped-edge scissors to create a wavy edge.
- Then, use a hole punch to punch "bubbles" from yellow paper. Create a starburst shape from the white paper.
- Use the banner template to trace shape onto light blue paper and again on yellow paper. Cut out light blue shape on the line, then, cut the yellow shape slightly larger than the traced lines.
- Next, use glue stick to adhere the blue banner to the yellow banner. Apply black self-adhesive letters to the blue banner, arranging in a curved shape (figure A). Arrange silver letters on the background page in any manner you desire.
- Glue champagne glasses to the background page and on top corners of the photos. Adhere "champagne" shape to glasses, and add bubbles, starburst and banner to the page using glue stick (figure B).
- Apply photo safe glue to the back of each photo before mounting on the background page. Slip silver photo corners over each corner of the photos (figure C) and adhere angled to the silver letters.
- Add photo caption stickers as desired, then outline glasses using silver gel pen.
- Use gold gel pen to outline the starburst and add details.
