Here's another example of what you can do with the rubbing technique featured in this exclusive DIY scrapbooking project.

Remember taking rubbings of leaves and textured things in grade school? This is a great way to add dimension to your scrapbooks without adding the bulk.

    Materials:

    Club Scrap Paper:

    • 12x12 and 8.5x11 Light Tan (DIY Kit)
    • 12x12 Red Print (DIY Kit)
    • Brick and Green (Old South Kit)

    Crayola crayons
    Skeleton leaves
    Findings

    1. Place skeleton leaves under a sheet of light tan paper.

    2. Rub the side of a crayon over the leaves.

    3. Repeat and matte the leaf rubbings with brick and green paper.

    4. Matte a 3x12 red print with green paper and mount to the left side of the 12x12. Add the rubbed images and finish with photos and journaling.

Other Rubbing Suggestions: Alphabet stencils, CDs, videocassettes, Chinese coins, dog tags, cutting mats (for rounded corners), stepping stones, brick, concrete, rubber stamps, headstones, flowers, house numbers, screen, pegboard, eyelets and more!
