A diagram of Tricia's winning combinations.
    Option A: Horizontal

    1. Trim two 8.5x11 pieces of paper into the following measurements: 2x11, 2x11 and 6x11. Place the three sections horizontally onto the page.

    2. You can connect the three sections with fibers, wire, string, etc.

    3. Place your photos into the larger center area, and create your page title at the top.

    Option B: Center Square

    1. Use two sheets of 8.5x11 to turn the center of your 12x12 into a matted 8.5x8.5 square.

    2. Connect the background with a 3x12 piece inserted behind the square.

Option C: Two Cuts, Four Pieces

    1. Cut two inches from the side and top of an 8.5x11.

    2. Rearrange them as shown in the diagram, putting the 2x9 piece horizontally at the top of your page. Add your page title.

    3. Arrange the remaining pieces as desired.

Option D: Vertical Double Page Spread

This will be your favorite! Mount two 8.5x11's into the center of a 12x12 double page spread.

    1. Add a 2x11 section in the outside gutter that remains. This area is perfect for embellishments and journaling.

    Option E

    1. Tear an 8.5x11 piece to divide it into 1/3 and 2/3.

    2. Sponge ink along the torn edges to accent.

    3. Mount vertically or horizontally to the page.

    Option F

    1. Cut an 8.5x11 piece into two pieces measuring 2x11 and 6.5x11.

    2. Place at the top and bottom of a 12x12. Tuck a second 8.5x11 piece behind the opening.

    3. Cut thin, 1/2x11" strips of a third color and use as a seam as shown in the diagram.

    Option G

    1. Cut the 8.5x11 at a diagonal from the top left corner to the lower right corner.

    2. Mount to the corners of the 12x12 and place your page title and journaling over the openings.
