Guest Jan Dressler demonstrates how to make a movable mural on cambric cloth. Cambric cloth is a very tightly woven, thin, linen fabric whose smooth surface is perfect for painting. The painted cambric cloth mural may be applied like wallpaper but can be taken down at a later date without hurting the wall's surface. This is a great project for a nursery because the mural can be saved and passed down through the family.

Steps - Cut the cambric cloth to the approximate size of the space that you are applying it to.
- Lay it on a flat work surface like a sheet of plywood on a couple of saw horses.
- Stencil the desired mural. Finish it off with a light spray of polyurethane for protection.
- You can hang the piece yourself if you are familiar with paper hanging. Be sure to size the wall so the paper will come down easier.
- Note: Rather than doing it yourself, you may prefer to hire a professional wallpaper hanger. Just be sure to tell him you want to be able to remove the mural easily.
- When it comes time to remove the mural, you can dampen the cloth to soften the paste. If you need to apply a stripper, DIF makes a good stripper that has worked well for many people. Just take your time and it will come down.
- Dry the paper, store it, and use it again or save it for your descendents.
