    Materials:

    two 6-1/4" x 5" pieces of mat board
    two 7-1/4" x 6" pieces of paper
    four 5-3/4" x 4-1/2" envelopes
    13-1/2" x 6" card stock
    1 yard ribbon
    scissors /paper cutter
    straight edge
    scoring tool
    glue for paper
    pencil

    Steps:

    1. Score the middle 2 inches of the card stock into nine folds, 1/2 inch apart , accordion-style, to make the cover liners (figure A).

    2. Glue the paper to the mat board (figure B).

    3. Glue the cover liner sections of card stock to the backs of the mat boards (figure C).

    4. Decorate the flaps of the envelopes.

    5. Glue the bottom back of the envelopes into the "valleys" of the accordion with all flaps facing the front (figure D).

    6. Create card enclosures for each envelope (figure E).

    7. Tie with ribbon (figure F).

    Tips:

    - Adjust measurements of card stock and paper to use any size and type envelope .

    - Fasten the ribbon to the back of the envelope book with sealing wax with a design stamped in it.

    - Line the inside flaps of the envelopes with decorative paper (figure G) .

    - Cover the mat board with plain paper as a background and use other paper or stamped images on top.

    - Use similar design elements and decorate the inside of the mat board.

    - In addition to stamped cards, use photos, quotes, gift certificates or confetti in the envelopes.

    - Line the insides of the envelope flaps.

    - Tie a charm to the ribbon closure.
