The engine is the heart of an automobile. And in this episode, it's the heart of our classic-car restoration. We begin by disassembling the engine and engine components and checking for wear of the engine block and other individual parts. We also follow the engine block to the machine shop where it is evaluated for small cracks and squareness. Then we bring the block back to the shop for re-assembly of all rebuilt components. After the engine is complete, we install the transmission.
