Host Steve Magnante dismantles the top of the engine and then installs several new performance parts, including Edlebrock aluminum cylinder heads with larger intake and exhaust ports, a high-flow aluminum intake manifold and a performance 600 CFM 4-barrel carburetor. He also adds new chrome valve covers and air cleaner. The performance parts will bump the horsepower of the Ford 390 V8 from 300 to about 350.
