In the final episode of our authentic 1962 Thunderbird "Sports Roadster" restoration, host Steve Magnante is joined by Johnny Ray of Custom AutoSound, who installs a state-of-the-art, "hidden" sound system. The receiver is installed behind the dash and a CD player is installed in the trunk. Our host also replaces the old, worn steering wheel with a reconditioned one, which completes the interior restoration. Lastly he installs "correct" Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with Coker reproduction radial tires in the same style as the original bias ply tires. The radials make the car handle better and are safer for everyday driving. Our host recaps the restoration process, from getting the car out of storage to engine upgrades to exterior and interior restoration. Our 1962 Thunderbird Sports Roadster is ready to enjoy for many decades to come!
