Host Mark Lambert performs an engine compression test to find out if our car’s sluggish and over-heating test drive was due to internal engine problems or the engine cooling system. With the internal engine problem ruled out, he addresses the cooling system with a radiator flow test. Then he back flushes the cooling system to clean it out and installs a correct thermostat. Lastly, Mark installs a temporary radiator and runs the engine to check that the cooling system is working correctly.
