to a room of dramatic light and sound!

In this episode, host Corey Greenberg and engineer Mark Midyett show you how to improve the overall sound in your home theater, using tricks most any do-it-yourselfer can handle. We construct acoustic panels for the walls to tame the high frequencies in the room, then show you where to place these panels. We also build "bass traps" to help control the low frequencies. Our next step is to install our electronics including the amplifier, surround sound processor, DVD player and power conditioner. Then we show you how to install your surround-sound speakers -- avoiding vibrations in cabinetry and creating uniform sound throughout the room. We'll also take you inside the home theater of Major League Pitcher Danny Graves, who has high-tech gadgets all over the place, including a custom remote that’s programmed to control most everything in the room, including lowering the shades and dimming the lights. He also has 7.1 surround sound, big screen with DLP front projector and motorized recliner seating. We'll also show you how a uniquely designed series of acoustic panels helps create the very best sound in this high-end home theater.
