Sean Hulit reaches for the skies on his way to becoming an aviation maintenance technician. At Westwood Community College, Sean learns how to build and repair every part of an airplane. With the help of instructor Vaughn Dowell, Sean uses fabrics and adhesives to create lightweight parts for the airframe, or body of the plane. Then Sean disassembles, checks, and reassembles a plane's oil pump. Sean tests his knowledge with the difficult project of rebuilding a World War II era radial engine. Sean needs precision, patience, and a little elbow grease to get the job done successfully.
