Built in 1926, the Tampa Theatre has been one of the best-preserved examples of stunning movie palace grandeur. But behind the curtain, the green room is a tragedy that Shakespeare couldn’t even write. This room is so uninviting, rundown, and ghastly that performers have refused to return to the theatre until the green room gets better reviews! And, that lack of high-level talent on the play list is threatening to dim the lights and shut the theatre down.

That's where Karl Champley, Amy Devers and the DIY crew come to the rescue! With help from architectural restoration contractors The Beck Group, the DIY to the Rescue team shows the theatre volunteers how to transform backstage bedlam into an inspiring and relaxing box office hit!
