DIY to the Rescue has its biggest mission ever in New Orleans; a city flooded almost 90% by Hurricane Katrina. In a neighborhood on the verge of total extinction, there are few beacons of hope, so the crew is getting help from everyone in the neighborhood to make this project a reality!
Hosts Karl Champley and Amy Devers team up with Paul Davis Restoration to work around the clock to help Marion Camp, a 78-year-old grandmother, by demolishing and then rebuilding her entire home. DIY to the Rescue: Katrina Rebuild features exclusive interviews with Governor Kathleen Blanco and other community leaders, as well as field trips with the National Guard and grassroots organizations helping to rebuild New Orleans.
