In this episode, host Jeanne Benedict will show our homeowners how to throw an old-fashioned Victorian Ice Cream social for about a dozen people. Our location will be a Victorian house in a historic neighborhood. From the moment guests receive their hand-made Victorian era lace fan invitation (which Benedict and homeowners will make) partygoers will be stepping back in time. At the party, guests will be treated to their choice of several flavors of ice cream and a wide selection of tasty toppings. Special touches such as ice cream cones wrapped in doilies and hung with ribbons will give this party its sparkle and Victorian flair, and the guests will be treated to a handmade recipe book that contains scrumptious dessert recipes from the Victorian era.
