    Paint turns a concrete paver into a "natural look" stepping stone.

    You can turn inexpensive concrete pavers into stepping stones with a handmade stencil and several shades of paint, says show host Kim Haworth. Follow these steps:

    1. To create a stencil, draw a design of several rocks on a piece of heavy plastic, and cut the shapes out with an Exacto knife (figure A).

    2. Set the stencil on top of the concrete paver.

    3. Using a sea sponge, start dabbing paint through the stencil. Use your darkest color first and then the next darkest, and so on, finishing up with a few tiny dabs of very light gray for emphasis.
